Make it a Halloween to remember

October is here, the clocks have gone back, and the nights are drawing in… with winter nearly upon us, it’s that time of year where you just want to cosy up at home under a blanket!

But before we all get wrapped up (excuse the pun 😉) in impulse-buying Christmas presents and consuming our own body weight in mince pies, first we’ve got the excitement of HALLOWEEN!

Legend has it that Halloween originated in the 18th century with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, where people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. This was originally known as ‘All Hallows Eve,’ which we know today as Halloween.

The holiday has evolved a fair bit over the years, with Americans putting an emphasis on fun activities such as trick or treating, carving pumpkins, lighting jack-o’-lanterns, and eating sweet treats.

Party the night away with our fun Halloween cocktail sets.

Halloween cocktail set 1

Here in the UK, Halloween is fast becoming a can’t-miss seasonal holiday for consumers, with adults wanting to get in on the fun we all enjoyed as children.

With lots of themed Halloween parties taking place the weekends before and after the holiday, and plenty of spooktacular grown-up Halloween costumes now available, we were thrilled to collaborate with New Look this year on some creepy cocktail sets to add to the spine-tingling vibe.

With edgy black packaging, fun edible gummy eyeballs, and delicious cocktail syrups masquerading as witches with cute hats and capes on, our fun but gruesome Halloween cocktail gift range is all about the “boos”! Now we’re all brainstorming ideas for creepy cocktails ready for the weekend… have you tried a squashed frog shot? What’s your go-to Halloween cocktail or shots recipe?

We’ll leave you with these spooky Halloween riddles to give you some more inspiration for your Halloween party…

  • Double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble…
  • At first cock-crow the ghosts must go, back to their quiet graves below…
  • When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween…
  • Yesterday, upon the stair, I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. I wish, I wish he'd go away…
